Using clay slip with paper pulp as a binder, I coat and assemble both found and made objects into compositions that remain unfired. The building process is intuitive and collective. The materials I choose carry specificity of place, state of mind, memory and symbol, often including genuine family heirlooms or tokens of women's work.
